I had a VERY rare Saturday off and of course what we did was go to the flea market. =) I picked up a great folding table and chair set for my front porch for $15!! How great is that floral print?! I snagged this great ring and a few great items for the shop. I came across this lady selling nothing but vintage and retro home decor for dirt cheap. She had a ton of old Christmas decorations that I can't wait to go back and get. I wish I had taken more pictures but we were pretty pressed for time so... =(

There's a man there who sells different kinds of rocks, minerals and gemstones and my son is completely obsessed with getting a different rock from there every time we go. I love all this little interests. He's so my kid.

We ended the afternoon with eating at the little taqueria there. They sell some crazy good tacos, tortas and my mom always gets the manudo. yum.

Well that was out little happy piece of the weekend. Do anything fun?

Last week I came across this cute little bag. Turns out its an old Polaroid instax case.  There was not a camera inside but there was someones old photos and the manual for the camera! Its such a treat to come across something so personal and special at a thrift store/ flea market. I almost wish I could find the person they belonged to and return them. When I was a kid my mother bought me an antique vanity that I still have til this day. I used to pretend that I would find hidden compartments in the drawers that had secret letters or keys. So I live for moments like these. The bag will probably end up in the shop eventually, but I'll definitely hang onto the photos.

Well I'm off to get the house tidy and finish up some work for a client. We have special plans tonight that I am soooo excited for... so I need to get everything finished early.

It's been exciting times lately! Last week the boyfriend adventured in McKinney checking out a few places. (1) We ate at this authentic taco place.. not too bad. I'm kicking myself for not buying this coffee table I found. If it's there when I go back I'll know it was meant to be haha. (2) My little family and my parents spent mother's day morning/afternoon at the local flea market ( probably the best mother's day ever) . Found this great leather purse and little mirror. (4) I"m becoming a sucker for anything triangular shaped. 

We finally ate at this great local burger shop called Terry's. It's literally right around the corner from out house and the prices are really low! SUCH GOOD BURGERS! Like, I'm drooling now. (5) Their "booths" are my most favorite color in the world... that coraly orangish pink. Like I used for my blog layout.

I've been getting more and more ready to open shop online, Conrad decided he wanted to make sure the hats were all up to par. (3). We've got an inventory of close to 30 dresses, 10 skirts, 13 tops, 6 jackets/blazers, about 20 pairs of shoes, and tons of purses, jewelry, scarves and hats. (6) (7) Crossing my fingers that people love the pieces I've collected. It's about 3 years of collecting.

Also, I don't think I've mentioned that we had babies two weeks ago... like kittens. (8)(9) My cat had 4 babies at about 1 a.m. one saturday night. Three of them are tortoise shells and one is peachy orange. I can't wait until they are running around. Conrad is completely smitten and protective over them. He melts my heart. =) I feel so lucky to be his mommy. He's such a sweet kiddo. He's the greatest gift a mother could ever want. Love you munchkin!

My kind of adventuring is:
Digging through antique and thrift stores....
This particular antique store that I went to I hadn't been to in years.
They have a lovely array of cameras including a few I'm considering going back for!
They also had a upstairs of all furniture but it was so darn hot with no AC upstairs (and a bit creepy honestly)
I decided to look again on another day.
Trying out new coffee shops/snow cone stands...
Exploring a book store....
And trying out a new recipe of course! I cooked REAL mexican enchiladas
with tres leche cake for dessert. My boyfriend is originally from Mexico so I wanted surprise him.

I had to the whole day to myself (with Nini of course!) and decided to just take it easy and do things
 I enjoy doing. I found a great book that has given me tons on inspiration and motivation
to conquer a few new projects I have in my head. Can't wait to make more things happen.
Slowly but surely I'm making it to where I want to be creatively.  =)

look what i scored yesterday at the corner thrift store!

the best cardigan ever. =) It's pea green with orange stitching and zipper with all kinds of military/nautical patches. i am in love. find of the year possible. $1.

a pair of boots. and im not much of a boot gal, but these look like cowboys boots and have little leather tassels on the back!! They're not knee high moccasins, but they'll do! And yes, those are my tie dye tights. haha.

I got Conrad a christmas sweater and another warm comfy sweater for me. all $1 a piece. I spent $4.12 that day. thank you corner thrift store. you own.
