Every year our office shuts down for about 2 1/2 weeks coinciding with the schools being closed for Christmas vacation. It's hands down my favorite time of the year. Christmas, no work, food, lazy days, movie marathons... need I say more? We spend lots of times playing with the goodies Santa left and eating way too many Christmas cookies.
I usually make a handful of things to accomplish during that downtime to make my life easier like deep cleaning closets and organizing life. I like tying up loose ends. It's always a time of reevaluating the past year and reflecting. I'm feeling really excited for next year's possibilities... I feel like I'm on the cusp of an amazing new adventure for my professional self. I'm working more on creating the life that I want and 2016 will be the year that my dreams become a reality.
- Work on refining my personal brand for my freelance business.
- Makeover my office space
- Reevaluate my business plan & services. Big changes are coming!
- Setup a photography studio in our spare bedroom
- Deep Clean Closets & Declutter ( mostly toys *cough*)
-Deep Clean & Declutter my computer!
- Mini getaway to San Antonio / Austin That's right! I'm coming to see you for a couple of days San Antonio & Austin! Feel free to leave your recommendations here. :-)
That's really it. I want to keep it fairly simple because I thoroughly plan on enjoying my vacation. IF you are local to Austin & San Antonio and have any recommendations for things to do / eat / see please let me know! I'm fairly familiar with Austin but I haven't been to San Antonio since I was a kid. We definitely plan on going to the River Walk but I want to check out the historical places as well.
