Basically since I discovered the world of blogging and began following designers that I admired I've followed Promise Tangeman. She is basically my hero.. she gorgeous, incredibly talented, super hot and has a style that is fantastic and a heart of gold.  She also happens to be incredibly nice and I really enjoy her inspirational and motivating posts. Not to mention she is kind of my hair hero. =) So when I saw that her adorable puppy I naturally couldn't wait to feature her on my Pet + People feature. (Check out my last pet + person post here .)

ABOUT PARKER: Parker is a Goldendoodle. He was a Christmas present in 2011 from talented hubby Brian Wurzell and he got to come home to his forever home in February of 2012. From his antics on instagram (he has his own hashtag #thedogparker  by the way) he enjoys visiting the office and hanging with clients, snuggling with your head while  on the computer, lounging on the couch and helping with home renovations.

It's been exciting times lately! Last week the boyfriend adventured in McKinney checking out a few places. (1) We ate at this authentic taco place.. not too bad. I'm kicking myself for not buying this coffee table I found. If it's there when I go back I'll know it was meant to be haha. (2) My little family and my parents spent mother's day morning/afternoon at the local flea market ( probably the best mother's day ever) . Found this great leather purse and little mirror. (4) I"m becoming a sucker for anything triangular shaped. 

We finally ate at this great local burger shop called Terry's. It's literally right around the corner from out house and the prices are really low! SUCH GOOD BURGERS! Like, I'm drooling now. (5) Their "booths" are my most favorite color in the world... that coraly orangish pink. Like I used for my blog layout.

I've been getting more and more ready to open shop online, Conrad decided he wanted to make sure the hats were all up to par. (3). We've got an inventory of close to 30 dresses, 10 skirts, 13 tops, 6 jackets/blazers, about 20 pairs of shoes, and tons of purses, jewelry, scarves and hats. (6) (7) Crossing my fingers that people love the pieces I've collected. It's about 3 years of collecting.

Also, I don't think I've mentioned that we had babies two weeks ago... like kittens. (8)(9) My cat had 4 babies at about 1 a.m. one saturday night. Three of them are tortoise shells and one is peachy orange. I can't wait until they are running around. Conrad is completely smitten and protective over them. He melts my heart. =) I feel so lucky to be his mommy. He's such a sweet kiddo. He's the greatest gift a mother could ever want. Love you munchkin!

So I finally got around to making root beer cookies after seeing them on The Dainty Squid forever ago. They sounded so yummy! Well, the first cookie was definitely yummy... but I think I'm good on anything root beer for at least another year! lol

Also we've acquired two new kittys! Brother and sister! A girl from work was going to get rid of them so I figured I would take them.  Nate adores them! (even though I was only suppose to bring home one!!) but Oscar is a bit of bully towards the boy. We haven't name them yet, any suggestions? We had a bit of a scare with the female gray one last night. She was trying to get into the refrigerator last night while I was making dinner and got crushed by the door and got hurt pretty badly. We took her to the vet and luckily she is fine, just a bit traumatized I think.

iIm a bit over excited about a few of the purchases ive made this week (mainly today) and HAVE to share.

i finally bought a new duvet cover for our new king size bed. its ridiculous that we've gone 6 months using a full size comforter for our bed lol. we've been fighting over covers for a while now. Target had one in pink/purple that i really like on clearance! It wasn't exactly what i wanted but i think ill love it more in person! for $30 for anything king size you cant complain. $30 is usually what i have to spend on extra sheets alone. bah! A while back i blogged about how much i loved betsey johnsons house and the yellow/pink color scheme. i'd love to do something similar in my bedroom now that i have something pink to work with. =)

i also bought these from UA.they were originally 16, but they sold me with the buy 2 for $24. haha. hey, i've been working for little things like this. =) I love super cute cheap things!



Conrad also scored two pairs of converses. One pair of these sweet Dr Seuss ones and a pair of classic black high tops. They were buy one pair get one for $1!!! So it came out to about $15 a pair. These are his first converses ever, and its a monumental experience for me having worn mine the hell our through high school. =) My little boy is growing up.

So it's been quite a while aye? I've been quite tied up with trying to find a new job and getting ready to move! It's amazing the ways that God works. Sometimes on the surface things may seem lost of all hope, but really underneath its a blessing in disguise. didn't you miss my lack of correct punctuation and ability to capitalize anything haha?

first things first, another new addition to the family: meet tiger lily. she's a feisty little thing. she and squid are best friends now. its adorable.




conrads birthday came and went and i was relieved to have it done with. it was a success and the heat wasnt too bad, the wind was a different story. it destroyed most of the table decorations and marshmallow pops melted all over the place, but it was a great turn out. =)




we're moving! very sudden and crazy but i'm excited! we'll be living with my parents for a couple of weeks til we can everything with the house we're wanting situated and i'm hoping that that goes smoothly because this new house means that I would have an office/studio and that conrad will have a big backyard and that nate will have a garage/man cave. so everyone wins! once all this is taken care of i'll hopefully be back to updating regularly.

in the meantime check out what ive been obsessing over: matt & kim. phenomenal happy day music. if im stressed i put them on the playlist and just dance in the living room when no one is watching.


Now I don't know if theyre a couple or not but they are two adorable people. =)
