So here it is December 19th and we're about 50% unpacked with not a single Christmas decoration in site except the Christmas tree which we JUST took out of the box haha. I'm not even sure where the decorations may be amidst the boxes haha. Not to mention that I can count the amount of Christmas presents that I've bought on one hand. I need to jump on it. So in an attempt to find my holiday spirit here are a few of my favorite Christmas/Wintery decorating and DIY ideas that I've come across that quickly and very adorably will add some Christmas spirit to your world. I'm really in love with #10's ideas for photobooth backdrop and other party decorating idea. I also can't wait to do my nails in a Christmas theme and bake lots of Christmas goodies! Do you have any great DIY ideas? Please share! Time to go shopping!

After nearly two weeks of battling strep throat I'm finally well enough to blog and very thankful that it is over with. I feel incredibly blessed to be in good health as well as my family. What energy I did have went into trying not to get behind in school and work.
I'm grateful especially for this past year and how my life has grown. My relationship with my family has evolved. I'm grateful for my new job opportunities. My new job is going great! I couldn't ask for a better working environment. Freedom, cool people, food and overall chillness. We ordered breakfast from Cracker Barrell this morning and only have a half day tomorrow and we are off the rest of the week. I also found out we are off for two weeks at Christmas as well. This job really feels too good to be true, so naturally I am panicking because things usually ARE too good to be true. I keep waiting for the down side of things and am constantly second guessing my own abilities. I really need to learn to accept that things can go AMAZINGLY in my favor sometimes ( especially when I work hard and earn it). In the freelance department, I wouldn't have imagined that I would be where I am today a year ago.
We found yet another house that we have fallen in love with and it looks like this may finally be the one, but I've learned not to get my hopes up too high or try not to talk about it too much because of how quickly things can go sour. But we could possibly be in this one by Christmas if all goes according to plan.
Any special plans for Thanksgiving? I feel like it crept up on me after spending those two weeks in a medicated/painful haze. We are simply planning on spending the day at my parents for Thanksgiving this year. A relaxing, not hustle and bustle day with family and enjoying there rest of the weekend at home with my kiddo and man.
While I was sick I did A LOT of tv catching up. I finished off Dexter and started the new season of American Horror Story. I get really into tv series! If you have any good ones please share because I'm always looking for a new addiction haha.
I have a lot to share and catch up on. The picture above was a picture I snapped of Conrad while doing a Christmas photoshoot for my sister in law that I can't wait to share with you.
Tata for now.

Life is has been crazy busy lately in the studio, but I have to pop in and say that like everyone else on out there blogging their little hearts out, I'm completely stoked that the Fall season is in full swing. We made it a new tradition to pick out pumpkins on my boyfriend's birthday. The weather is perfect and my brain is already turning of all the yummy things I'm excited to start cooking and baking.
What are your favorite Fall traditions and things to do, eat and make?

It's been exciting times lately! Last week the boyfriend adventured in McKinney checking out a few places. (1) We ate at this authentic taco place.. not too bad. I'm kicking myself for not buying this coffee table I found. If it's there when I go back I'll know it was meant to be haha. (2) My little family and my parents spent mother's day morning/afternoon at the local flea market ( probably the best mother's day ever) . Found this great leather purse and little mirror. (4) I"m becoming a sucker for anything triangular shaped.
We finally ate at this great local burger shop called Terry's. It's literally right around the corner from out house and the prices are really low! SUCH GOOD BURGERS! Like, I'm drooling now. (5) Their "booths" are my most favorite color in the world... that coraly orangish pink. Like I used for my blog layout.
I've been getting more and more ready to open shop online, Conrad decided he wanted to make sure the hats were all up to par. (3). We've got an inventory of close to 30 dresses, 10 skirts, 13 tops, 6 jackets/blazers, about 20 pairs of shoes, and tons of purses, jewelry, scarves and hats. (6) (7) Crossing my fingers that people love the pieces I've collected. It's about 3 years of collecting.
Also, I don't think I've mentioned that we had babies two weeks ago... like kittens. (8)(9) My cat had 4 babies at about 1 a.m. one saturday night. Three of them are tortoise shells and one is peachy orange. I can't wait until they are running around. Conrad is completely smitten and protective over them. He melts my heart. =) I feel so lucky to be his mommy. He's such a sweet kiddo. He's the greatest gift a mother could ever want. Love you munchkin!
I hope everyone had a very merry christmas! I know we did. =) This was the first christmas that conrad really got into and it was so much fun to watch him get excited about his new toys!! He has been going crazy over his new dinosaurs and his new 4 wheeler. Mommy got an amazing pair of moccasins, some records, some clothes, and a sweeeet new picture to hang in my office, which is still littered in wrapping paper scraps. =)

im in the market for a new comforter and a shower curtain. I've found a lot of beautiful ones over at target and urban but the ones i like don't come in king size.... anyone know of any good places to look?
I'm undecided between these two shower curtains from urban.

theis pretty wall hanging for the house from rec room vintage

my jaw dropped when i saw these flats from modcloth. yes, they are pencil flats. =)

Hopefully today my mom and I will knock out there rest of our Christmas shopping! I'm off work today! YAY! I'm excited to get to spend the day with my mom and Conrad. Then the rest of the evening will be spent making cake balls and cookies for Santa!!!

So for this weeks wednesday wishes, my number one wish is that you all have a wonderful christmas with family and friends and that we all keep in our hearts why we are celebrating. I hope you are all safe as you travel and make it back home safely!

I'm hoping to find this shirt in store for Nate. If not he may have to settle for it for his birthday the 11th. Of course I will also be buying anything and everything I see star wars related for nate and conrad. Oh how I love the boys in my life. =)
I have a few other things in mind but I dont want to list them as not to spoil the surprise so we're off to get ready and spend the day shopping. Love you all! have a merry christmas!

I still have much more christmas shopping to take care of, but that how i work best, at the last minute in panic haha. so ready to make my cake balls and cookies for santa!! I'll see you on wednesday! take care!

I came across a blog the other day about thanking the people in your life that mean a lot to you in special or unique way (if that was your blog please let me know because I totally lost track of the blog). this sounded like a great idea to me. i like to surprise people and make them feel special, so this week i've had this scheme cooking up in my brain of how, when and where to do this. I encourage you all to do something similar to let everyone you know how much you appreciate them and love them, whether its just leaving a note or something. i chose post its. =)
i hid one in my husband's pocket.
while visiting family today I plan to sneak several into their vehicles, rooms, pockets, etc. i can be quite sneaky, which is funny because im so clumsy haha.
on top of that, id like to share a list of the things i am very thankful for:
1. my beautiful son. words cannot say the way you have changed my world and warmed my heart.
2. my husband: you keep me entertained. you love me unconditionally, even when im at my worst and encourage me to follow my dreams. i adore you.
3. my parents and brother. im so thankful for their help and love! i can always depend on them, whether it be for a baby sitter, a pep talk or just good company.
4. My inlaws - i married into a family that i cannot even tell you how amazing they are. the are the most kind hearted and loving people in the world.
5. my new home and life that God has given me. i feel so blessed to have moved into a home that seems so perfect for us and the new journey we are on in life.
6. my best friends, although we are all busy and are miles apart, we get each other. without you, i might be void of my sanity.
7. mexican food and coffee!
8. the freedom that i have to do the things i want and to express myself.
9. my cats, for all the giggles and cuddles.
10. all the beauty in this world that inspires me, keeps me going and pushes me to create and explore.
now i have a lot to get done. ive got a kiddo that ive gotta get into his bath and i have to try to beat the husband awake. haha. everyone be safe today on the road and get lots of food in their belly!
God bless & ta ta!
