I was very inspired this morning by the quote and image shared recently on 79 Ideas. We're fairly settled into our house, I decided to delay moving on with my masters another semester , and I've cleared up most of my freelance work, so its safe to say that life is much more on the calm side these days.
YET, I still find myself feeling constantly overwhelmed.
Whether it be from digging through my closet of things I never wear, or my son complaining because he doesn't have any thing to do/toys to play with, I feel that my answer to this problem is to simplify my life. I use my closet and my sons toys as an example because they seem to be my number frustration factor. We have too much clothes and so many toys that we cannot filter out what we actually use/like/wear.As soon as we have a decent weather weekend I'm going into garage sell mode and simplifying my life.
This is also applies to a lot of other things as for me emotionally and mentally. I get caught up with anxiety related to my job, trying to be a good parent, friend, girlfriend, daughter and it's exhausting. So I am on a mission to simplify my life. If I want something, ask for it. If I want to be a better mom, do it. If I want to go somewhere, go. To go with the flow. Have more adventures and enjoy my life more.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? How do you cope with it?

ReplyDeleteGreat post. I feel overwhelmed alot. When I don't feel overwhelmed, sometimes I feel "whelmed". Ha. I have pretty severe anxiety, so I have been taking medication for over 5 years now. I don't know how I could cope otherwise.
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring! You have a luvvly blog. Thanks for stopping by www.helloluvvy.com XO
ReplyDeletenatalie: I'm sure some medication would do me well! I just never saw anyone for it. I used to have really bad anxiety problems when I was in high school but I never told anyone about it.
ReplyDeleteDarcy thanks for the kind words and for returning the favor and stopping by mine!
