Did you just die of cuteness? Because I did.

Meet Lola, or as she has already been nicknamed Lola Bean. Isn't it funny how you pick a name for a pet and it always turns into like 20 variations of that name. (Like my cat Murphy is now Murphsky, Murphster, Munster, and Murphaloop and my other cat Nini is now Banini, loco nini and nini-pie. )

We picked her up this past weekend and have been in love ever since. I am a hardcore cat lady, but I'm slowly but surely becoming that lady that drives everywhere with her dog. So far she has been such a perfect puppy when it comes to going outside and even knows how to sit already and she is so hysterical when she is playing that we end up in tears laughing. Her little growl and bark is just adorable. Expect frequent and annoying photo/video dumps of her in the future haha.

This past week I had the honor of doing shooting a pregnancy shoot for my childhood best friend. Nothing feels more nostalgic than traveling to your small hometown (where you know everyone and everyone knows you and your parents) to see an old friend, especially for something as life changing and monumental as a pregnancy and birth of a child. I was super stoked she asked me to do these for her. Keeping in mind I am not a full time photographer, nor do I have any education or much experience really in the field, I think they turned out well.

We had lots of laughs and talked about the olden days while I worked my way through brush and lets face it... cow poop. haha. all in all it was a great evening even though we ran out of day light WAY too quickly. Note to self: it gets dark in the woods very, very quickly. (These were a few of my favorites from the FIRST half of the set that I've edited so far! More later!)

 Getting ready for the slightly cooler weather of fall most of the items in the shop have been marked down and lots of new goodies will be going in every day. =) I'm completely in love with these new dresses. If they were my size I would be keeping them. Just sayin. Haha.

I'm hoping to be trying a few new things out on the blog and shop here soon. Life has been crazy busy work-wise and getting ready for BOTH me and the kiddo to go back to school this coming Monday is freaking me out because we are completely unprepared. I'll be having lots of new projects to share with you soon though once the craziness is over. Also, I have a special new cute cuddly friend to share with you all this week. =)

 Because my boyfriend works a ridiculously crazy schedule (70 hours a week of split shifts, all days and 1-10's) it's really hard for us to find time to get away to do anything that requires much of a commitment. So when we heard about Turner Falls, Oklahoma we were like : "Hey we can swing that!" It's about a 2 and half hour drive for us so we could knock it out in a day. We headed out at about 1 in the afternoon and arrived at about 2:40.

I'm a super thrifty person so I try to do everything I can to avoid spending an arm and leg. We packed lunches and snacks so it didn't break the bank in the gas or food department. In total it costs us $74 for gas and to get into the park!  Once crossing the Oklahoma border it was gorgeously scenic and tempting to hit up the casinos haha.  We spent the rest of the day swimming in the ice cold river under the waterfall and hiking up this crazy castle to an amazing little peak that over looks the waterfall. It was a very much needed adventure before heading back to school. And of course we took lots of pictures. =)
