Eeep! I was stoked to be nominated by the lovely Alexandra of POLKA DOTTED PIXELS for a Liebster award last week! Are you wondering what a Liebster award is? Well I was too! According to We Loved Here, “The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. So, what is a Liebster? The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.”  

Blogging has been an adventure with ups, downs, long vacations and super awesome experiences all tied into it. Even though I've blogged off and on for 5+ years, this past year has by far been the most exciting and life changing for me. I've found out so many things about myself, career and life through my writing and others blogs. So to see some sort of recognition for the journey I've been on the past few years, is not only extremely encouraging to continue what I am so passionate about but also an honor.  So THANK YOU Alexandra for nominating me. The feeling is very mutual. =)

So from my understanding you are nominated by another blogger and post responses to questions that they ask you. When you are nominated you in turn nominate other blogs that have 200 or less followers and you write your own questions for those whom you choose to nominate. 

So here are my answers :

Coming from a small east Texas town, I never felt satisfied with the clothes I could find, the music on the radio or the amount in which I could express myself. I had friends, but none who shared my supposed "eccentric" tastes in clothes or music. I didn't have friends that understood that I thought HTML and making xanga layouts were cool. And most of all, people would turn their nose up when they realized that nearly all of my wardrobe was thrifted or from the 1960s. I wanted more. I wanted to meet others that shared the same love of nerdy, creative, and  vintage things. So I adventured out into the digital blogging world to find those people. Blogging has allowed me to be "me" and to be inspired and discover new things, people, art and music that I love.

 Currently I am constantly rocking out to the Mexican indie band ZOE, Sir Sly, Portugal The Man, Fox & The Bird, The Big Pink and my all time favorite the The Flaming Lips.

 

 I am an unintentional collector haha. I'm always picking up pretty scrap fabric for projects and before I knew it I know have a large section of my garage studio dedicated to scrap fabric haha. I also HOARD pretty office supplies like stationary, pens, note pads, and thumbtacks. 

 

This is a tough one because part of me would completely fit in in the 60's/70's and my inner romantic would want to be a high woman in society during the Victorian time period.  Just give me a time machine.
